Fore!!! TDI is hosting a pre-conference golf outing on August 22, 2007 at Half Moon Bay Golf Club less than an hour away from our Conference hotel.
We have booked four foursomes to play on the Ocean Course. The first foursome tees off at 3:00 p.m. The fourth foursome should be through playing at around 8:30 p.m. (depending on how long it takes for some of us to find lost golf balls!)
The fee to play 18 holes, with an electric cart is around $90. Also, after we finish playing, we will have light dinner at the grill. This will cost us an additional $20-$25. We have been lucky to secure the twilight rates, if we tee off before 3 p.m. it would have cost us $225 each to play and ride, not counting dinner.
The shuttle bus leaves Marriott San Mateo at 1:30 p.m. and this will get us to the course no later than 2:15 p.m. After the round and dinner, we leave the Club to return to the hotel around 9:30 or 10:00 p.m.
Check the Half Moon Bay Golf Club website at www.halfmoonbaygolf.com. You will want to play this course with us, just almost as good as playing Pebble Beach!
