Action Alert - Workplace Accommodations Survey
Note from TDI: TDI works closely with academic research facilities throughout the country, whose mission is to make existing and emerging technologies in telecommunications and media accessible to people with disabilities. Below is an invitation from the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC) on Workplace Accommodations at Georgia Tech. Your participation, while voluntary, would be very much appreciated.
Thank
you,
Jim House

You
are invited to participate in the Consumer Advisory Network for the
Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC) on Workplace
Accommodations at Georgia Tech (www.workplacererc.org/).
As a member of the Consumer Advisory Network, we request that you complete
one or more surveys about your experiences in the workplace. This
will help provide a clear perspective on workplace products and services;
assistive technology needs, and evaluate new technologies to make
workplaces more accessible.
By participating in the consumer network, you will share some information
about yourself and your experiences working with a disability. There
is no direct benefit to you for participating and there are no foreseeable
risks. Your participation is strictly voluntary and you are not
required to participate. The results of this initial questionnaire
and subsequent surveys will be used to identify common problems and
successes people with disabilities have in work environments and to
determine areas for new product development.
We will be sending out the first survey soon and we would like to be sure
people who are deaf or hard of hearing are well represented in the survey.
If you would like to join our consumer advisory network, please sign up on
our website: www.workrerc.org/Contact/advisorylist.cfm
If you have difficulty filling out the form, please send me an email: John.goldthwaite@catea.org
and I can send you a text version of the form.
Thanks very much.
