WIRELESS MESSAGING COVERAGE INFORMATION
As a follow up to the last GA-SK issue (V32.1) about wireless messaging
devices (2-way pagers), I checked the coverage in Sioux Falls for all
three networks in the article. By going to the coverage map on the websites for
each of the three networks and entering the zip code for the Sheraton
Sioux Falls Hotel - 57104 - here is what I found:
ReachNet, Wyndtell and other RIM 950 pager customers on the Cingular
network:
There is no coverage in Sioux Falls. However, Wynd Communications has
arranged with Cingular to erect a temporary base station that will provide
coverage in the immediate vicinity of the Sheraton Sioux Falls Hotel and
Convention Center during the TDI Conference. For more information, check
www.cingular.com and www.wynd.com
Duartek Wireless, Wyndtell and other Motorola T900 pager customers on the
Weblink network:
There is only partial coverage in this zip code. For more information,
check www.weblinkwireless.com (This is the correct URL - not weblink.com)
All Skytel pager customers:
All customers can expect to receive full coverage. For more information,
check www.skytel.com
All other pager customers on other networks:
Check which network you are on with your pager - ask your wireless
messaging service provider.
DISCLAIMER: Actual coverage may vary due to terrain, weather, signal
strength, customer equipment, and other factors. Clarity and reception may
be diminished by obstruction such as buildings and foliage. No guarantee
of coverage is available.
